Watauga River and Davidson River Flies
When I am not fly fishing I am tying flies and thinking about fly fishing. These are three flies that have been good lately in the Asheville area. The first photo is of my tying bench. The second and third photos are flies for the Watauga River, Black Elk Hair Caddis and Black X-Caddis. Last, the photo is of a tiny little Don King Midge I often fish on the Davidson River. I am taking today off to get geared up again, but I will be out fishing in Western North Carolina again tomorrow.

Caddis Riffle on the Watauga River
Marvin and I fished the Watauga River today and caught lots of fish mostly on caddis dries. Here are a couple of pics I managed to take between fish.

North Mills Brook Trout Frenzy!
Annie and I headed to the North Mills the other day to see what was swimming around. Awesome weather and plenty of fish, including the Annie's 18" brookie!
